Host a Bible Camp for Leprosy Affected Children
Our Goal is to provide support and sponsorships for these children to attend a special Bible camp, where they will receive love, care, food, and an opportunity to learn about God.
Leprosy-affected children face tremendous challenges as they navigate through life. Due to the stigma associated with leprosy, they are often treated as outcasts by society. These children, along with their parents, reside in quarantine villages, isolated from the rest of the country. The resulting isolation and discrimination they face contribute to the difficult lives they lead.
An in-depth look
Through our Bible camp, we aim to bring joy and hope into the lives of these precious souls. With a gift of $150, you can help sponsor a child whose parents are affected by leprosy to attend the Bible camp. The Bible camp provides a safe and nurturing environment where these children can find solace, support, and a sense of belonging.
They will receive love and care from dedicated volunteers who are committed to making a difference in their lives. Nutritious meals will be provided, addressing their immediate physical needs, while various activities and programs will be designed to empower them mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Your support will not only give these children a chance to escape the harsh realities of their everyday lives but also provide them with the opportunity to grow as individuals. By investing in their well-being, education, and spiritual development, we are nurturing disciples and enabling them to break free from the cycle of poverty and social exclusion. Our Goal is to raise $1500 to pay for 10 children to attend the camp.
Jesus showed unconditional love and care for all, including lepers, who were societal outcasts. He touched them and even visited the home of Simon the Leper. Today, leprosy victims still face rejection and live in quarantine villages. Our ministry aims to follow Jesus' example by reaching out to the sick, lost, and poor. We have worked with lepers in isolated colonies for years as leprosy persists worldwide. There are hundreds of such colonies in the central province we work in alone.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Does His Feet personally know the people featured in each Pressing Need?
All urgent needs that we present are for people in urgent or emergency need and those people are being ministered to by trusted partners of His Feet International or are for people whom we personally know. One of His Feet's unique positions is that we have spent much time in these countries and that our trusted partners and team members have worked with us for many years.
How long does it take before the "still needed" section reflects the donation I just gave?
After making a donation to a specific urgent need, within 24 hours your donation will be visible on the progress bar. If your donation completed or surpassed the $ amount then within 48 hours the need will be replaced with a similar or different urgent need. If your donation is more then the ask, the rest of your money will be handled prayerfully and diligently while being used for similar ministries and needs.
Can you guarantee that my donation will benefit the person/people mentioned in the Pressing Need?
Yes. When you are making a donation, the donation widget will have a list of specified areas that you can choose for your donation. When you specify the urgent need(s) in the donation widget your donation will be tagged in our accounting system that will identify it for that particular need. If, however, your gift is given, and that need has been met or an unlikely event causes us to not be able to give to that particular need your donation stays in the same ministry. For example, if you donated to provide medical care for a leprosy patient and the final cost is less than raised, we would use remainder for a different need within leprosy ministry.
His Feet International is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and therefore must maintain complete discretion and control over the use of all contributions. Tax-deductible contributions to all His Feet appeals are solicited as preference gifts. His Feet is fully committed to honoring donors' preferences with the understanding that, under unusual circumstances, such gifts may be used for other charitable purposes.
Why is an urgent need previously funded posted again?
Medical needs are often similar for different leprosy patients, Disaster relief presents many similar needs. We send teams to leprosy colonies monthly, we may post the pressing need again after one month's need is met to raise the funds for the next month's team to go. Same thing for teams going to evangelize, disciple, and encourage believers amongst unreached people groups. Different national missionaries have similar needs such as travel funds, rent, and supplemental support for their families, and their kid's education.
